Seize the opportunity and don’t waste it

Seize the opportunity and don’t waste it

Sh. Youssef Nabha*

Life without a goal is a waste and squandering opportunities in this life is poor administration and failure.

Man lives in this world only once for a temporary stay and he must utilize every minute and hour of his life to his own advantage, and should plan for his present and future as if he was to live in it eternally forever.

It is not deemed an act of piety or virtue for Man to neglect his worldly life by wasting his personal or collective energy rather Allah the Al-Mighty wanted people to build His land and to benefit from all its resources which will make them reap all its rewards in this world and in the Hereafter.

Thus Man in general and the youth in particular must set a goal in his life and to work hard at achieving and accomplishing it regardless whether it was a personal one such as learning and attaining university credentials or a collective and social gaol such as the establishment of  places of worship, schools, sporting facilities, human services and others that will benefit the community, the nation, the country and humanity at large

I believe that Australia encompasses so many opportunities, Scientific, material and human potential and capacities which provides so many incentives and motivations to change a dream into reality provided that Man is willing to spend time and effort to benefit from all the strong points that are available whether through studies, work, movement or action and only that will provide the means to establish an advanced, educated and prosperous society away from all forms of violence, corruption and deviation.

Prophet Muhammad (P) said: “Whosoever finds a window of opportunity opening in his way let him take advantage of it for he wouldn’t know when this window of opportunity will close down”

While Imam Ali (A) said: “Seize good opportunities for they pass away so quickly like summer clouds”
